Great episode again.
But what’s wrong with the design of the Diana? I like it.
Slick, simple and obvious.

What a truly wonderful interview. It is extremely rare to get so much detailed information from a designer. Marcus asked smart and thoughtful questions and Mr. Butler garve detailed and informative answers-very well done!
well, as usual with taste, there’s different opinions. I don’t like it :-)
Markus
thank you :-)
Great interview. It was nice to learn a bit about this incredible project. Thanks.
Thank you for this great interview, I guess I am one of the gliding aficionados you were expecting ;-)
Greetings from New Zealand
Excellent interview!!! Extremely interesting. Dick is a class act. The Concordia is an awesome sailplane.
Do you live in New Zealand, or are you there for gliding :-) ?
Markus
thanks :-)
A rare treat to get sch in depth information from an extremely talented engineer. Thanks for the download, and keep up the good work!
Thx!
It would be great to do a follow-up interview and focus more on the technical aspects of the design. This was a good overview but left us engineering geeks wanting more.
What kind of “more” details do you suggest?
Markus

Excellent!
Would it be possible to get access via a link to Mr. Dillenger’s thesis at Delft University?
I don’t have that thesis or a link. But I suggest you just ask Mr. Dillinger himself: https://www.linkedin.com/pub/johannes-dillinger/6/454/759
